Editorial Manager
Editorial Managers are responsible for the management and co-ordination of a team of up to four editorial staff across one or more account teams. Editorial Managers act as the team lead for an account and are responsible for the timely delivery of projects to the highest possible editorial standard.
Editorial Managers also work with their clients and the Managing Directors/New Business personnel to identify potential new business opportunities and provide strategic direction for the account. In addition, Editorial Managers work with the Editorial Director to ensure that company processes are adhered to and identify ways to ensure the smooth progression of work through the life-cycle of a project.
Skills required
• You must have a science degree
• 4 years’ experience in the medical communications field
• Proven ability to manage several projects/accounts simultaneously
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with key clients and thought leaders
• In-depth understanding of the client’s aims and objectives and the market situation in which they are working
• Good prioritisation and delegation skills
• Excellent editorial skills and experience of a wide range of projects across the different media
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of editorial staff
• In-depth understanding of a number of therapeutic areas
• Experience in medical events would be beneficial
